Independent practice / Berlin

Sound. Matter.
Spatial experience.

I’m Karsten Schuhl, an artist, designer and researcher. I create installations and environments that connect sound, space and physical phenomena—developing ideas through making and experimentation.

The practice

Sound, space
and unfolding experiences.

My current work explores how sound, material and movement can draw us into another sense of space, creating environments to listen, discover and become part of.

Teaching & research

Learning through
making.

I teach through experiments with materials, code and sound, helping students develop technical understanding alongside their own artistic questions.
